Hepatitis B is a viral infection that attacks the liver. Ghana has one of the highest rates in the world. Roughly 1 in 8 Ghanaians carry the virus, most without knowing. It spreads through blood, sex, and from mother to child. The good news is that a vaccine prevents it and monitoring keeps it in check.
